After purchasing three other harnesses (two other Kong designs and one Kurgo) and returning them due to fit and/or design, I finally decided to pay double the price for this one and am glad I did. I wanted the Kong Max which they must not be making anymore and this one is very similar. I like it for the fit, sturdiness and simplicity. The others either didn't fit my 50 lb. labradoodle very well or were too bulky on the back. I like the single strap running down the back and the hand grip. These are features the Kong Max had. The only reason I didn't get this one in the first place was due to the price but none of the others met my expectations.I have tried a dozen different harnesses on my pug dog. And each one he is able to slip out of and prance off to do his own thing. I adopted a dog from a rescue and the foster mom sent her home in a Kong harness. So for grins and giggles I tried it on my pug. He couldn't squeeze out of it. I used it on him several times and he wasn't ever able to get out, so I ordered him this one. It is kinda pricy, but keeping control of your dog is priceless.I adore this harness. I have this for each of my boys. Great adjustability while they were puppies. The top handle is so convenient. They are 35 and 45 lb medium size dogs. I completed the set with collar and the amazing leash. It's a win too.Very nice sturdy harness. My only problem I believe was the sizing. My dog is a 60 lb. Golden Doodle. Her measurements indicated she would be a large but I actually think she is a little between sizes so the harness is a little too big around her girth. I twist it a few times before I click the side pieces in place so that helps. I have made it as short as it will go but it is still slightly too big. I do love the handle on the top. She is sometimes too friendly so I can control her better with the leash and the handle. It’s attractive, sturdy and comfortable on her and she seems to like it.This harness is not stretchy. The fit adjusts by sliding straps through the buckles. This harness fits our XL German Shepherd comfortably. The harness fit is comfortable. The padded chest plate is a nice feature, but the best part of this harness is how easy it is to use. Our lively GSD loves to go w-a-l-k (yes, we have to spell it). Trying to keep front paws through the separate leg openings of his old harness while he was dancing around was too much. We place the Kong harness over his head, click each side strap, and off we go.The padded section is a bit narrow but it fits my greyhound better than others I've tried. I like being able to slip it over his head rather than try to get his legs through it.I bought this harness for my “Houdini” dog. Although a bunch of others we successful using this harness to contain their escape artist dogs. I however was not successful as my pooch was still able to ditch this harness. It’s a wonderful harness & extremely well made, it’s just not one I can use to keep my dog at the end of his chain.I got this harness for my large dog due to the metal finishes since my vet said that would be a good decision. I like this harness because it is easy to put on my dog, durable, and cute. I love the handle on the back to help with control.
