My Jack Russell can destroy most toys that are softer than nylabone. This keeps a big treat trapped inside while he works away at it. Not a scratch.I use this ball to play fetch with my two year old 55-60 pound Belgian sheep dog. It is his favorite ball, it’s big but the holes make it easy for him to get a hold of, it bounces very well but not so high that it would bounce over the fence, very easy to clean and very durable. While my dog doesn’t chew on this ball he does not have a soft mouth and as he is bringing the ball back to me he tends to try to chomp on it, like he wants to let go of it but he can’t make himself, LOL. So the ball has endured this treatment on a daily basis for a year. We lost the ball at a friends house but I was fortunately able to find the exact same ball here on Amazon. I wasn’t sure what size I had originally so I ordered a large and medium. Turns out I had a large.Only toy my Pit Bull won't destroy. Lasts...period.The only original material Kongs that my big dogs don’t ever destroy, but I still hate the persistent rubber smell! My dog destroys every ball with in minutes. This is the only ball he has not been able to destroy and has lasted over six months with daily use.Love it, ........ well, uh, I mean my two BIG police dogs do. I don't mess with the biscuits, but the mostly solid KONG ball with the single smallish hole thru it was heavy to throw with my bad shoulders, and barely bounced on a grass back yard so they could shag it in midair at high speed. The BIGGER KONG biscuit ball was too clumsy and large for the ball-chase game my guys prefer, nor did it bounce well on a normal back yard hardly at all, so that is gathering dust. THIS ONE is perfect for big dog high speed games, won't break teeth or tax jaw muscles, and being hollow has JUST the right amount of "give and bounce" in a grass yard to get it up where they can intercept it full speed mode, which is what they love. The Belgians are WAY faster than the GSD's. The perps would NEVER outrun a big Belgian! Most athletic dog I have ever seen or heard about, and I have had a LOT of GSD'sThe 120# German Shepard (not fat) and the 100# Belgian Malnois (same bite strength as a pit bull, by the way folks, and 3 times as smart and stable) have to work HARD to finally ruin one of these. They both pop tennis balls in the first bite, so that is saying something. After a good year and almost a year and a half DAILY use, of TWO heavy biting dogs playing with this and catching up to it with full speed/strength bites, I replace it.At the cost, I don't mind a bit. My advice...... get 3 the first order and be done with it for a long while. This is the best price on the net for these, and they are getting harder to find for some reason, especially at THIS price. My Katy love these toys , And they are so durable and last long !This Kong treat ball is a good size with ample slots for dispensing treats without being too difficult or easy.It helps me provide my dog with at least some activity on days when outdoor exercise isn't possible or is impractical. Additionally, this double duties for me and I will sometimes place 2 (sufficient for the bowl size) of these balls in my dog's kibble bowl to slow down his food consumption. He normally gulps everything down without chewing and is immediately hungry again, but with these in the bowl, the slowed down feeding allows the meal to "register" better with making him feel full.I always buy Kong products for my dogs as they are strong, well made and withstand chewing from border collies. I like the different size holes. I block the larger hole with a larger biscuit so that all the treats don’t come out at once.Would certainly recommend.Bought this to replace another Kong treat toy. Small treats are to small and fall out med treats are a bit to big to fit it so there is no happy medium. The edges of the cut outs have come away on most of the edges, I doubt I'll buy again.this keeps our dog amused for ages we fill it with a pork spaghetti treat which he lovesexcellent! finally a ball that I can fit in the launcher that the dog doesn't destroy on the way back! Worth paying the extra to not have to keep replacing it, and being red its clearly visible in the distance, with the added bonus that it whistles (because of the hole through the centre) so you can hear it even if you can't see it travelling high up.I have t2 dog so I had to buy 2 the young one worked it out as soon as I filled the ball my old dog took a bit longer but got there in the end I put all sorts of treats in the ball I even put half of bonios in the ball they love them, they also play with the ball when empty well worth the money
