I have a pit that manages to tear up her collar by scraping it against the stucco wall of the house. But this collar has been so sturdy and durable. Highly recommend. I have three pits that all wear only kong collars! With the moneyAfter having this collar before. Our dog seems to be comfortable in it. It was not available wider or with a Metal clasp. I do not find it to be of the same quality that I expected from a KONG product. The clasp seems cheap and I will not be comfortable using this collar as the only means to walk my dog. The "D" ring is not strong. The only reason we are keeping it is because we had to use it for a vacation.This collar replaces another collar that I purchased more than 2 years ago. I love the Kong brand! The collar I am replacing is still in good shape. The problem was that the reflective coating had washed or worn away (and the collar smelled bad after 2 years). This new collar has more padding than the one I am replacing and I can only imagine that the extra padding makes it more comfortable for my dog. The D ring means that he does not have to live with the insufferable clanging of his metal tags and the width of the collar makes it easy to attach his GPS/activity monitor. I especially love the color. Dog collars usually come only in black, blue, grey and green.The blue collar is really pretty, has reflective tape and very sturdy and durable and yes comfortable. I wish I had ordered the M instead of the large for it was a little large for my dog. My dog is 20" around the neck. I was concerned that the Medium might not make it, but based on the L, it would have fit perfectly. L is ok, so not returning. It seems soft for the dog yet completely sturdy and dependable. The only thing I am not thrilled about with this collar is that the gray reflective material wears away very easily. I guess if you want to make it last, only use this collar when you need a reflective collar and use another collar all other times.This is our second Kong collar. I love that they have sturdy clasps and a separate little loop for the tags so that they aren’t competing on one ring with the leash clip. Our dog is black so we always get a reflective collar and this one works well for us to locate him at night. My only complaint is that it is so stiff, I presume because it is lined in neoprene. I’m sure this will work itself out in time.Great durable collar. I have a 95 lb. German Shepherd who can be hard to control, this is a quality collar. I love that it has night reflection so I can find him in the dark.This collar has lasted my husky for years!! From the minute I opened this package I could feel how high quality it was, the color was exquisite, and has caused no discomfort for my pup. Even if he quickly turns diff directions when on his leash it would adjust with ease. Would buy again, but it doesn’t seem like I will ever have to.
